Abstract

A unified mathematical formulation of fluid interface is derived by phase field and level-set approaches and conservation law of thermodynamic variable. In this work, it is applied for a multi-color flamelet approach model of combustion flows which may be coupled to a steep gradient of thermodynamic condition such as a diffusion of fuel mixture profile in the flame thickness. Its applications to large eddy simulation of turbulent and compressible combustion flows are discussed, too.
