Abstract

OpenFOAM, which has a wide range of fluid analysis functions, allows fluid analysis that considers the behavior of particles that satisfy specific conditions. For particles that are complex and consider a wide range of conditions, the coupled analysis tool CFDEM can be used to achieve a variety of fluid-particle coupled analyses.The purpose of this study is to investigate the functionality of the analysis solver coupled with particles that the fluid analysis tool OpenFOAM is capable of, and to confirm the functionality required by the fluid-particle coupled analysis tool CFDEM.
