Abstract
Recently, in the viewpoint of environment problems, the improvement of the efficiency of the construction machinery such as excavator or crane is demanded. For this purpose, it is investigated that the hybrid system used in the automobile is adapted into the construction machinery. In the previous study, the control method, which derives the operating property close to the present hydraulic system, is proposed. In this study, the simulation model of the swing system of the hybrid construction machinery is proposed and the efficiency of the hybrid system is compared with the hydraulic system by simulation. Consequently, the fuel consumption of the engine in the one cycle of the swing operation of the hybrid system is proved to be 30〜37% of the hydraulic system. This is caused by the effect that the hybrid system can be operated by the more compact engine than hydraulic system and kinematic energy can be recovered by the regeneration of the motor.
