Abstract
In this paper, the continuum system with gaps under random waves is investigated for experiments of collision vibration system and an analytical model for the nonlinear spring is considered. This analytical model is that the restoring force characteristics are fitted with the cubic equation. And this analytical model is used for the simulation analysis, and its results are compared with experiment results. The results make the difference between collision plates of thickness 1.6mm and the thin plates in R.M.S. value and transfer function. Divergent energy by collisions cause this result. And also, an analytical model considered divergent energy by collisions is proposed and we think that simulation analysis needs to consider divergent energy by collisions.
