Abstract
This paper shows the overview of the test results conducted to confirm the applicability of the proposed three-dimensional seismic isolation system to the actual advanced nuclear power plant. The tests consist of the shaking table test for the system and the integrity tests for the air spring. The integrity tests consist of the pressure test, the air permeability measurement test of the rubber sheet that composes the air spring, and the failure mode confirmation test. From those tests, it was understood that the proposed system could exhibit the seismic isolation function sufficiently, the air spring could resist the design pressure for 60 years in plant life, and the air spring has no catastrophic failure mode.
