Abstract
In a folly automatic washing machine, the problem of the vibration due to the unbalanced mass of clothes in the dehydration process is an inevitable phenomenon. In order to reduce the excessive vibration, a liquid balancer is attached in most washing machines. The purpose of this study is creating a vibration analysis model of a washing machine that can reproduce the vibration in the transient states. When it was made, general-purpose motion analysis software ADAMS was used. In the modeling the liquid balancer, some lumped masses are applied to simplify the hydrodynamic behavior of the liquid in the liquid balancer. In this study, in order to validate the analysis model, the simulation result and experimental result are compared. In this experiment, the displacement of the tub was measured. As the result, the simulation had good agreement with the experimental result in all unbalanced conditions.
