Abstract
A construction method to create individual multi-body models is proposed on the basis of the data of Japanese adult male. Individual multi-body models can be created by two parameters, that is, the weight and the height of subject Shapes and mass distributions of each segments were defined by the 38 anthropometry data. Equations to predict 38 anthropometry data from the weight and the height of each subject were obtained by the multiple-regression analysis. The simulation of thorax impact was conducted to confirm the effect of the error of the regression equations on dynamics of human. Next, Multi body models with various body shapes were applied to the analysis of occupant dynamics. As a result, it is obtained that individual difference affected occupant dynamics.
