Abstract
In this study, the root blower was applied to the low pressure gas supplying pipe with a reciprocating compressor to reduce the pulsation. It was clarified that the root blower reduced the amplitude of pressure more than the tank with same volume, and did not reduce flow. The reduction mechanism of the root blower is thought that it absorbs the energy from pulsation as fluid resistance. Then, the energy turns the blade without the external power and fluid is transported. It is concluded that the root blower is better than a orifice and a tank as the pulsation reduction device.
