Abstract
This paper proposes a convenient method for improving sound quality of plate structure by optimizing its shape and damping treatment. First, boundary condition are adjusted using spring elements so that natural frequencies of numerical model agree with results of experimental modal analysis. Then shape of plate are modified to get effects that natural frequencies of considering modes have simple ratios each other. And Position of damping sheets are designed based on modal strain energy. method. Validity of this method is verified by experiment.
