Abstract
It is important to grasp damping characteristics when the earthquake response or wind response of structures is predicted. The first mode damping ratios in measurement are calculated, and the relations between the first mode damping ratio and the displacement amplitude are examined from the vibration measurement of microtremor and man-power excitation for a super high rise reinforced concrete stack of 209m height. Moreover, the wind measurement is simultaneously carried out with the vibration measurement. The relations between the wind velocity and the first mode damping ratio, and the relations between the wind velocity and the displacement amplitude are discussed.
