522 On-Line Estimation Method of Parasympathetic Activity Using Respiratory Sinus Arrhythmia

Abstract

Phasic stress may be estimated by using the Respiratory Sinus Arrhythmia (RSA), which is the variation of heart rate mediated by parasympathetic nerve. The variation of heart rate also includes Mayer Wave related Sinus Arrhythmia (MWSA) and the RSA. This paper addresses the method of decreasing MWSA from heart rate variability.
