Abstract
In Modal curve fitting methods, several kinds of weighting function were proposed to minimize the norm of error. However, Using a same weighting function for a set of all FRFs of a test structure often makes FRFs of some measurement points be fitted with good accuracy but other ones be not. In this paper, the authors propose the combination use of various kinds of weighting functions in modal curve fitting methods to deal with the measurement data of actual and complex mechanical systems. The proposed method automatically selects and applies the most appropriate weighting function to the FRFs of each measurement point. This method allows the modal curve fitting method to put better curve fitting results out.
