Abstract
The technology of the smart structure system is expected as the indispensable important technology in the future advanced mechanical system, For example from MEMS to the space structure. Though a smart structure system has utility, application to the mechanical structure system and realization are delayed. A research and development trend outside the country about the smart structure system was introduced, and it referred to it about the factor that realization was delayed in this paper. Moreover, cooperation with the housing industry and the robot industry was mentioned based on the internal affairs, and the vector for the realization of the smart structure system was proposed.
