Abstract
Auto parametric damper of a pendulum in which a rotational spring and damper are used as restoring force is reported in this paper. An initial displacement and/or an initial velocity are needed for parametric resonance of such a pendulum type damper. It is confirmed in the experiment that the damper is automatically resonant due to offset angle of the pendulum position independent of initial conditions.
