Abstract
Because the magnetic force has nonlinear characteristic, nonlinear phenomena may occur in the rotating machinery supported by magnetic bearings. Therefore, the investigations of vibration phenomena are important for prevention of the vibration problems. In this paper, a rotating shaft system supported by magnetic bearing is modeled by taking into consideration the PI control characteristics of amplifier and delay characteristic of magnetic force for the control electric current. The nonlinear analysis is performed and influences of these dynamical parameters of control system on the vibration phenomena of rotor system are clarified.
