Abstract
The author had already proposed a simple second order linearized equation of motion for the axisymmetric spinning bodies such as tops. The equation contains influence of both gravity and weak friction torque. This time, it was transformed into the state equation and the transition matrix solution was derived. As a result, because loci of the angular momentum, the angular velocity, the spin axis and the contact point to the desk of the spinning body can be easily drawn, the insight to the behavier of the body is obtained. Spinning motion of a circular flat ellipsoid is also analyzed.
