Abstract
A new type of dynamic vibration absorber using semicircular arc beams has been developed. The purpose of this study is the examination for reducing earthquake and wind responses of the eccentric building installed the absorber. The analytical parameters in the building installed the absorber are designed with EA ratio and peak ratio of transfer functions. The effect of response reduction is examined by frequency response, earthquake response and wind response analyses.
