Abstract
This study investigated the evaluation of easiness to grasp the cylindrical objects of various diameters, and the movable angle at wrist joint movement and EMG activity of muscles in the forearm under the grasping. The optimum diameter of cylinder was found as 35mm under the condition of random order .Wrist joint movements of palmar-flexion, dorsi-flexion, ulnar-flexion and radial-flexion were investigated. The diameter of cylinder which produced maximum movable angle was 55mm in palmar-flexion, 60mm in dorsi-flexion, 55mm in ulnar-flexion and 20mm in radial-flexion, respectively. The mIEMG dose not change under 30 times repetition of the wrist joint movement.
