Abstract
This paper numerically investigates the attenuation of global acoustic potential energy in a structural/acoustic coupled cavity using radiation cluster control. The rectangular enclosure considered here is composed of five rigid walls and a simply supported rectangular plate. Optimal feedforward control law to minimize the amplitudes of the radiation clusters is performed, and the control effect, the attenuation of the global acoustic potential energy, is calculated. It is found that radiation cluster control is a reasonable method to control sound radiation in a structural/acoustic coupled cavity based upon structural error sensing.
