Abstract
This paper describes the automatic design algorithm of control system for active mass damper (AMD). This algorithm determines controller parameters by applying temporary controllers. Vibration control experiments conducted on an actual floor confirmed that the controller designed by the algorithm can reduce transfer function of 1st mode to 30% of that without AMD. And it was also confirmed that the vibration control effect of the controller is as same as that of a manual designed controller.
