Abstract
Vibration and acoustic models for carpet on automotive vehicle floor has been developed. The vibration model is expressed of by lots of sets of a spring, mass and damper on FE model. The acoustic model is consisting of sound radiated from carpet and sound transmitted through carpet, of sound radiated by panel. These models on automotive floor are verified by the comparison of the modal properties, frequency response and acoustical intensities between measured and calculated. As a result, the predicted results are good agreement with the measured on the vibration of both the panel and the carpet surface, radiated sound.
