Abstract
We generalize an idea of the OGY method, which is a well-known, chaos control method, and propose a control method for stabilizing "unstable" trajectories defined on infinite- or finite-time intervals. For this purpose, we use extended concepts of the stable and unstable manifolds of "hyperbolic" trajectories. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, we give experimental results for single and coupled pendula.
