Abstract
It is known that the development of peripheral neuropathies and peripheral circulatory disturbances in the hand-arm vibration syndrome is caused by operating hand-held vibrating machines for a prolonged period. The purpose of this research is to newly develop a vibrating machine utilizing self-synchronized phenomena in order to reduce the hand-transmitted vibration. In this paper, two types of coupled oscillators for a rammer which is a kind of vibrating machine are suggested. The self-synchronized solutions and its stability are analyzed by applying the shooting method. From the analytical results, the mechanism which can generate the optimum self-synchronized solution for realizing utilization of vibration and vibration control at once is examined.
