Abstract
To suppress the residual vibration of overhead traveling crane in positioning, the construction methods of driving force pattern are proposed. The crane system is considered 2-DOF system consists of a trolley and a simple pendulum, and the natural period is determined. Based on this period, force patterns are designed in a similar way to the vibration suppressing acceleration input patterns that the authors proposed. By numerical simulation it is clarified that the pattern can be adapted to the driving force as well as acceleration input. The Coulomb friction between the trolley and its rail is also considered.
