Abstract
It is useful for light saving design to substitute composite materials for steel material with mechanical applications. This report shows vibration mode identification method for the door panel which is widely used in automobile vehicle body. Composite material (fiber reinforced plastics: FRP) have the excellent possibility of light saving design for the demand of changing in structural stiffness with tailoring the fiber-direction or stack-sequences of laminated composite materials. In this study the first, the influence of lamination condition for the natural modes of curved panels are calculated by the Ritz vibration analysis method. The next, the identification study for determination of the approximate natural modes of the laminated panels in reference to the modal testing results is discussed.
