Abstract
In the present paper the attention is focused on the symmetric vortex shedding from In-line tube banks on acoustic resonance which occurred in the two-dimensional model of boiler. We measured a spectrum, phase delay of velocity fluctuations in the tube banks, sound pressure level. As a result it was made clear that the symmetric vortex was clearly formed even in the case of Reynolds number, based on mean gap velocity, of about 1.1×10^4 with acoustic resonance in the longitudinal direction of the duct. The frequency of symmetric vortex shedding became 3-4 times as large as the frequency of natural vortex shedding in the tube banks.
