Abstract
To evaluate a ride comfort, vibration characteristics of passengers are important. It's necessary to construct a model which represents vibration characteristics of the passenger seated on a vehicle seat with high accuracy. Therefore, passenger-seat modeling is been conducted by combining the passenger model with the seat model that are separately constructed by using a multi-body approach. In this paper, the passenger model is tried to be constructed for high accuracy based on the response of the passenger seated on a urethane seat whose boundary conditions with the passenger is similar to ones of actual seat. The process and results of this modeling are presented.
