Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate individual differences in contributions of muscle forces of support leg to the acceleration of the whole body's CG in running. The method which we have proposed in previous study was used to quantify the contribution by using a musculoskeletal model consisting of 35 Hill-type muscles and of 5 DOF with SIMM software (MusculoGraphics Inc.). Six male subjects participated in experiment, and the results showed that individual differences of the muscle force contributions are observed in Vastus and Soleus muscles, and those muscles show large contribution to the acceleration ofthe CG.
