Abstract
Authors have been examining the restitution property of the steel ball of the same diameter and the same mass to understand the impact phenomenon of the solid bodies. As the simplest case, the impact experiment and the finite element analysis were conducted for two spherical bodies subjected to collide repeatedly with the same position at the same speed. The experimental results are compared to the analytical results obtained by Finite Element Analyses, and they showed the same tendency.
