Abstract
Chaotic vibration occurs in various mechanical systems such as shell structures, subsoilers for agricultural machinery, gear box, and so on. In this paper, we examine the chaotic vibrations under influence of periodical impact forces experimentally. Our experimental setup is a steel beam pulled by two magnets, which has two stable steady-state equilibrium. As a results, the periodical impact forces can change chaotic vibration on our setup to the periodic vibration in a case where the chaotic vibration includes high frequency component of external force.
