Abstract
Considering the tooth profile error, the rattle of one pair of helical gear system is analyzed numerically. Two cases are treated, the case A where the effect of the profile error on the mesh stiffness is not considered, and the case B where the effect is considered. Because of tooth profile error, the amplitude of resonance curve becomes large. In low frequency region the amplitudes in the case A are larger than those in the case B, and in high frequency region the amplitudes in the case B are larger than those in the case A. (3) Chaos generates in wide frequency region in the case A.
