Abstract
This paper proposes the application method of AMD (active mass damper) for preventing the transmission of the resonant vibration of base structure to the around floor. For getting the accurate model of the vibration transfer system, we used system-identification-method, and using the acquired vibration system model, we designed the AMD controller with LQ control method. In this paper, we show the simulation and experimental result of the effect of vibration reduction using AMD. The result is show that using our proposed AMD system, we can reduce the transmitted vibration to the floor for about 50% or more.
