Abstract
The major occurrence mechanism of pattern formation phenomena has been considered as unstable vibrations generated in linear time delay systems. A stabilization of a multi-degree-of-freedom system using dynamic absorbers was proposed as one of prevention methods, and the validity was confirmed from numerical analysis. In this report, an experimental setup of a viscoelastic system was fabricated in order to verify the validity of dynamic absorbers. The experimental results indicate that the validity of the optimum design method of the dynamic absorbers for multi-degree-of-freedom system to the pattern formation phenomena.
