Abstract

It is necessary to separate the multiple resonance frequencies of a vehicle body from outstanding peaks of excitation spectrum to reduce road induced noise of car. A vehicle body is always excited by the transmitted forces from a chassis system and the transmitted forces changes in real time with road surfaces. Therefore, we suggest the design method of joint rigidity for simultaneous placement of multiple resonance frequencies for semi-active control of the vibration characteristic of a vehicle body. Specifically, we have focused our efforts to make the eigenvalue of kernel dynamic stiffness matrix to zero by changing the rigidity of a connection spring connecting a main system and a sub-system. Consequently, it is enabled to control the multiple resonance frequency of whole structure.
