Abstract

In recent years, there has been a need to improve the performance of elevators due to the increasing height of buildings. However, as the performance of elevators improves, the vibration generated between the guide rollers and the guide rails increases, which affects the ride comfort, and the optimization of the guide roller mechanism is required. In this study, we focused on the vibration problem of the guide roller section and developed an analytical model for calculating the time response analysis of elevators, and verified the response reduction effect through simulations incorporating springs and damping elements based on previous studies and running tests using a reduced test rig. The mechanism of the guide rollers was investigated.
