Abstract

This paper describes the post critical behavior of a sheet in uniform air flow and sustaining mechanism of limit cycle oscillation (LCO). The nonlinear analysis has been performed using the nonlinear fluid-structure interaction model. The sheet is modeled as a beam. The fluid force acting on the sheet surface is calculated using the vortex-lattice method. The flutter amplitude is investigated with changing the flow velocity. Moreover, the work done by fluid force is calculated.
