Abstract
Proposed to perform a easy rough mechanical analysis of a concept design of a sophisticated structure such as an automotive structure, the first order analysis is aimed to cut the costs of time and resources by avoiding to use large CAE system in the stage of abstract design. The present study is to develop a tool for the first order analysis by the object oriented approach. In the system, substructures of a specific real structure are idealized into several kinds of FE models, which are treated as objects in the programming. The tool is so designed that it can form a model of analysis easily by assembling the FE models embedded in the tool. Java, an OS independent and object oriented programming language, a household word in the age of the World Wide Web, is employed as the coding language. By using Java, the tool can be accessed by WWW users.
