Abstract
We study an recursive approach to optimal design of structural system. In this study, two processes dealing with geometrical constraint are discussed; that is, one is initial degeneration process and the other is shape transformation process. It is shown that these processes can also be performed in a recursive manner. Example optimal designs are conducted and the results show the practicability of the proposed recursive optimization approach.
