Abstract
The optimal design problems of trusses can be classified into three problems, size, topology and layout in weight minimization problems. All of these classified problems are solved by using the algorithm reported in here. Size problems already are reported efficiency to optimize by using index alpha of FSD. The algorithm is applicable to topology optimization problems by adding node movements as genes. Moreover, the solutions can be obtained with sufficient accuracy to various kinds of optimal problems by the general-purpose optimization tool GA Workbench, which is under development. In this report two examples are shown 2-dimentional trusses by GA Workbench.
