Abstract
The Structural adjustment system for efficient design of mechanical structures has been proposed. This system is based on the Finite Element Sensitivity Analysis (FESA) for coupled problem that is concerned with both heat resistance and thermal stress. A new formulation for this coupled analysis in FESA has been derived. This system has been applied to the design of a diode for an alternator. As a result, it is shown that the fluctuation of responses according to all design parameters is recognized by the one calculation result in this system.
