Design verification for resin molding parts by using a non-contact measuring/evaluation system

Abstract

For a resin molding parts of portable electric device, which have a free-form surface, it is difficult to verify the molding shape with accuracy only using a contact me asuring system and a visual inspection. This paper proposes an advantageous rapid verification method using an on-contact measuring/evaluation system. Also this paper presents some applications of the reverse engineering and the simplification technic in drawing.
