Abstract
Pressure equipment for oil refining and chemical industries operating for long time services and accompanied with corrosion and other environmental damages requires a tools appropriated to evaluate mechanical integrity for future safe operation Recently, API, ASME developed FFS assessment procedures widely applied in industries. According to recent change of related regulation to performance standard in Japan, development of maintenance standards including FFS assessment standards has been also commenced in various industries. This paper summarized recent development of those Fitness-for-Standards and application of it to storage tanks.
