Abstract
Reverse engineering is applied to design tailor-made undergarments, such as brassieres, girdles, and so on. A 3D scanning device has been used to measure the human body shape of a customer. However, it is not sufficient to know the size or shape of a body for well-fitted undergarments, because the customer wants to know how the body is constricted and reformed by those products. We propose a real-time simulation system of body deformation according to the type and tightness of undergarments. It is intended that our system is used by apparel shop clerks to show the simulation result to customers and to take orders.
