Abstract
The final goal of this research is to propose a cooling pipe system design method of an injection molding die to reduce residual stress of plastic products. The residual stress causes defects in dimension of plastic products. We have tried to establish how to analyze mold filling process, cooling process and residual stress occurrence in the molding process by numerical simulation. The proposed procedures to analyze the residual stress have been applied to some numerical examples, and some different cooling pipe systems of injection molding die are compared each other.
