Abstract
In our previous research, we developed the two-stage design method consisting of topology and shape optimizations for the effective and practical design of complaint mechanisms. However, in this method, the designer has to manually convert the result of topology optimization to an initial shape optimization model and such task takes a lot of time and is hard work for the designer. To resolve this problem, we develop a procedure to automatically create an initial shape optimization using level set method.
