Abstract
This paper has studied factors that affect consumer's feeling when opening and griping an aluminum beverage bottle, and suggests a method of evaluating opening and gripping ease. Gripping ease of three different kinds of shell diameters (φ50, φ60, φ70) has been evaluated by using semantic differential (SD) method of Kansei engineering. As a result, major subjects have evaluated that the shell diameters φ50 and φ60 is easier to grip than shell diameter φ70. On the other hand, opening ease of an aluminum beverage bottle has been evaluated by measuring grip force of unopened cap. Therefore, the diameter φ70 is the easiest to open than the other diameters.
