Abstract
US, The Netherlands, Germany, etc are sending their students to such developing countries as Africa to support their self sustenance. The basic idea is to help the people over there to stand on their own feet. It is very much different from the idea of Japanese ODA, which ships very sophisticated technology and equipment to help them. In this presentation, these two types of supporting developing countries are compared and it is pointed out that Japan should go the same way as US, The Netherlands and Germany. It is also pointed out that Japanese industries should utilize university as these countries are doing and they would help them develop a new marker for them.
