Abstract
In Service Engineering, a service is represented as a functional structure that satisfies customer requirements and these functions are realized by functions carriers. Entities as functions carriers could be very diverse, since they include both physical products and human resources. It is therefore not easy for designers to design functions carriers. Authors have constructed the knowledge base to provide function carriers alternatives and proposed a method to support service design with the knowledge base. However it depends on designers' ability to choose appropriate function carriers as a design solution from several kinds of functions carriers provided from knowledge base. This paper aims to propose the decision-making supporting method to choose appropriate function carriers.
