Abstract
The requirement definition and conceptual design phases significantly change the direction of product attraction. These phases depend heavily on the creativity of the designer or development team. For support of idea creation process, we have proposed Function Synthesis Approach (FSA) using combination of Particles method (inventive problem solving method) and Particle Swarm Optimization method (Evolutionary algorithm). In this paper, pre/post-processing methods are proposed to improve the FSA. The knowledge about which it might argue based on the result is reported.
