Abstract
It is very important that the engineer can confirm the shape and profile of the gear before the gear cutting. We have designed and developed the gear generation simulation system. Using developed system, designer inputs basic gear dimensions and optional rack shape, the gear and rack profile can be gotten quickly. However, it doesn't correspond to the VGR rack & pinion. In this research, the simulation system of VGR rack & pinion is developed. We proposed the method of three dimensional modeling of VGR rack. Therefore, the simulation system became possible to confirm shape of VGR rack made three dimensional model. Developed system is integrated into the gear generation simulation system in the near future.
